Today’s advent calendar picture features a snow painting. We don’t often have snow in Southern England but of course it is frequently depicted in Christmas scenes. That is down to the Victorians it seems, as they were in a mini ice age. I found this interesting article that explains more about the tradition.

Can’t believe it’s December already. I don’t have an advent calendar so thought I’d do a virtual one sharing a photo a day! Here’s one for the 1st Dec. I love the dewy effect you get on plants in winter.
